Soul-O 30 Reverb Combo/Head This new model for 2003 has
a classic all tube preamp with passive EQ and a special PREBIAS control
to optimize for various guitar pickups driving the first gain stage.
This can also be used to select front end gain structure, from the
cleans of the Fender Blackface era, through the crunch of a Plexi era
Marshall, and on to very high gain structures of the most high gain
amps. There are three distinct gain levels, with a boost function
that can be used with each setting, for a total of 6 discreet gain
settings. There is a Gain (volume)
with Pull Boost, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Reverb, and Master
Volume. The output stage is
specially designed for the 6L6 and will produce 30 watts RMS in the
Class A Pentode mode. Mounted in a lightweight
Tolex covered plywood cabinet witha long spring reverb A dual function
footswitch to control the Boost and Reverb is an option. |

What is SFX? SFX Technology produces a stunning stereo image in live performance situations– stunning because it emanates from a single cabinet! Most every guitarist records using stereophonic effects, and also Keyboard players use stereo DSP to get that Hammond/Leslie sound...but these players usually perform in mono. This is because using stereo speakers widely spread on stage will only produce stereo results for the small number of listeners sitting in the center, between the speakers. The listeners on either the Left or Right speaker side will not hear stereo and perhaps not as good of a “complete” sound as a mono speaker would provide. Moving the speakers closer towards each other produces a mono result because the they mix together within just a few feet, so again why bother playing in stereo if nobody can hear it? SFX is the first and only way play live with convincing stereo effects. Its ground-breaking technology will forever change the rules for live stereo performances.
